Gil and Vicki Ash Welcome Skeeter Boats as Marketing Partner

If there’s one thing Gil and Vicki Ash’s students and friends know about them, it’s that whatever they’re doing, they insist on nothing but the best equipment. That’s why Vicki’s students want to know how she stores her shotguns safely in her SUV, and the reason Gil’s friends ask him what kind of cookware and knives he uses to prepare the gourmet meals for which he’s well known. It’s also why, when it was time for a new fishing boat, they would own nothing but a Skeeter.

For their students, shotgunning is a hobby and a break from what they do for a living. For Gil and Vicki, however, shooting is a profession, and fishing for redfish and speckled trout is what they do away from the range.

“We wanted a new boat for bay fishing and began our search for the best equipment we could find,” said Gil. “We talked to pros and other avid fishermen who were passionate about their sport and their equipment, took numerous test drives, researched features and manufacturers. We concluded that there was no doubt, Skeeter was the boat for us.”

When Gil and Vicki do research, they go all the way to the source. They went to the Skeeter factory and met the people who make and market the boats. “We were excited to see their enthusiasm about making the best products,” Gil said. “They are good people, and they stand behind their products.”

So what sold Gil and Vicki on the Skeeter boat they chose? For Gil it was the performance, and for Vicki, it was the smoothness. “I’m amazed at the smooth ride and easy handling,” Vicki explained. “I enjoy driving the boat as much as Gil does, and that isn’t the case with just any boat. We can’t wait to get out and play.”

In fact, the Ashes are so enthusiastic about their Skeeter boat and the company behind it that they will now endorse and promote the product. Watch for the new ‘skeeter’ on their shirts!
