What are your friends and fellow shooters saying about the Coaching Hour!

Hi Coach! Thanks for talking with me this afternoon about my struggles with expectations. I think the coaching hour is the best creative idea so far in coaching. Having a forum of fellow shooters of all skill levels sharing their goals, experiences, frustrations and concerns is an invaluable learning experience. The insight and knowledge you and Vicki bring to the table just ties everything together. And having the entire hour recorded on CD is nothing short of brilliant! Every time I review a CD, there is always something more I learn that I missed the last time I listened! My hat's off to you guys for a unique and truly valuable coaching technique. I look forward to the coaching hour as much as I do going out on the course! Thanks again!

-- CARLOS POLIDURA

Most of the people who shoot are used to being good at what they do. It's difficult not to see yourself become good so rapidly and that can be frustrating. The Coaching Hour cuts across all levels of ability, from advanced to beginner, and addresses common issues that we all deal with. It helps you put everything in perspective. You see that the great shooters like Craig Hill deal with some of the same issues you do and what they do to become great shooters. The Coaching Hour also helps you to get constant reinforcement of the principles you need, like control and commitment. It's just great. If you're serious about clay shooting, you need to be involved in the OSP Coaching Hour. It's like group therapy!

-- DENNY HARRIS

The OSP Coaching Hour is phenomenal! It is great to have access to that many opinions in such a structured way. In each hour, you get information you never considered or wouldn't get anywhere else. I could have never stumbled on this information on my own. The common ground, the interaction, and the ability to listen to the CDs over and over again are really beneficial. It's amazing how much information you get from listening to the programs a second or third time. Things that you couldn't relate to the first time somehow have new meaning the next time you hear them. I tell all my shooting friends to spend the money. It's the single best investment you can make in learning how to shoot, and it's way cheaper than a psychologist!

-- DEAN OLSON

The Coaching Hour is the most innovative thing in the business. Gil and Vicki are so ahead of the other coaches,it's unreal. It's not often that you have access to some of the best shooters in the country, and the Coaching Hour gives you that. For me personally, it helps me keep my shooting constant because I always have access to practical information, and I'm regularly adding more to the mix. The audio program puts all that information always at your fingertips. And it makes me drive slower! I am constantly listening to the CD on reading targets. I listened to it again on the way to a tournament and, in that very event, I had an entirely new perspective because, in the Coaching Hour, I learned to look at the target all the way to the ground. My performance was better in that tournament because of the refresher course I got on the way there. It's terrific. I want more than an hour!

-- MICHAEL MOHR

Talking is a really important part of shooting. I spend a lot of time in personal lessons with Gil and half of the time is spent talking. When shooters just start out, getting the mechanics down is key. But the better you get, the more important the mental aspects and the "talk" become. It's amazing what you can get by talking if you give it a chance. In the Coaching Hour, you all realize that you have the same problems no matter what level you're at. Our problems may not be the same size, but they're usually the same thing. It's also a way for everyone to have a chance to get involved and ask questions. It's very innovative, and it's a great way to have regular access to Gil and Vicki. You have to come with an empty cup and expect it to be full when you leave. Just give it a chance. Give it an hour. It will change your shooting for the better.

--CRAIG HILL

I enjoy every single session and each one has something in there that I can use. I thought that, as a relatively new shooter, that the information would be at a higher level and wouldn't apply to me much, but I was mistaken. I listened to one CD and new I had to join. Anybody at any level is going to learn something from these programs. I have really capitalized on the program on practice, and the very first one on commitment and expectations was really helpful because when I got those things in check, the game around for me. But all of the topics are good because Gil and Vicki know what we need to know. As a heart surgeon, I have been exposed to a lot of teachers. It was easy to recognize immediately that Gil and Vicki are superb teachers and every shooter can gain a lot from listening to them.

--TOM KIRCHMER

The Coaching Hour turned out better than I expected. I knew the information would be good, but I had no idea how valuable and important the association with the other shooters would be. It's kind of like group therapy because you listen to other shooters, some really great shooters, share the problems they're having and you realize that they have the same problems you do. It's very encouraging and very helpful. The guests and programs have been great--especially the ones on tournaments because I do a lot of tournament shooting. I listen to the CDs at least 3-6 times and pick up new things every time. There's no way you can ingest all of the information the first time you hear it. I encourage anyone shooting to participate in the Coaching Hour. It's well worth the time and money.

--DICK BAKER

Every single session makes me say "wow!" Because of the Coaching Hour, I have gone from a novice mindset to a much more advanced state mentally about the sport. It has helped me to get out of a slump and to pull me out of what was holding me back MENTALLY. It has even helped me with my golf! I've learned a lot hearing about other people's experiences. Listening and interacting with the expert shooters helps to pull you up to the next level faster. It accelerates your learning curve. As one who is starting out, it gives me a way to have regular assistance with my shooting. You need a true physical presence every now and then, but this way I can get professional help on a more consistent basis.

--RICHARD DUELL

I look forward to it every month. The program helps me recognize my weak spots in both the mechanical and mental aspects of the game. I initially just wanted the information. I didn't realize it would help me identify my problems. But with the community and interaction you get with everyone involved, you get other people's views on things you may have known, but had not considered in a particular way. And maybe "that way" makes all the difference for you. With everyone involved, you don't have to reinvent the wheel, you just learn how to run the wheel better. And that's very helpful. I listen to the audio programs multiple times and am really surprised with what I pick up each time. I recommend the Coaching Hour to anyone who is at a point where they want to seriously improve their shooting in both the mechanical and mental aspects of the game. If you want to be a competitive shooter, you really need this program.

--BRIAN BREWTON

It has changed the way I practice and perform in competitions dramatically! This is absolutely one of the best things Gil and Vicki have done, and I can never wait for the next one to get here. It's great reinforcement of information, and it keeps you in a constant state of learning having something every month. Even Gil and Vicki are learning new material all the time and having monthly discussions gives us a chance to learn and improve at a quicker pace. And it works for everyone. I'm amazed at how many levels of people participate. You never know what way the conversation is going to go and that makes it interesting. You learn things you never knew you needed. I listen to every audio program up to 3 or 4 times, and on the 4th time everything starts to click better and I can take it all to the practice field. To my friends, I would say, "You're stupid if you don't sign up!" Because really...can you ever get enough of Gil and Vicki?

--WILLY CHERRY

Honestly, I had doubts in the beginning, but I really like it. Repetition is the best teacher and you get repetition from both the monthly programs and from the CDs. It really helps the mental side of your shooting. I appreciate all of Gil and Vicki's hard word in keeping up with the new stuff. They are always learning and always have something fresh to share with us. You're not just getting the same thing over and over. Plus everybody comes with a different background and different issues, so you're learning things you didn't realize you needed to know and you're better prepared when those issues come up for you. The CDs are particularly valuable because you can't absorb everything the first time around. They help you reinforce things. So many people start out thinking they are going to be a world-class shooter, but the big question is, "Are your work and practice efforts in line with that goal?" If they are, the Coaching Hour is a great tool to help you achieve those goals. You just have to try it.

--JOHN MARTIN

To cover all the levels, Gil and Vicki have to paint a very broad brush and they have done it successfully. There is something in the Coaching Hour for everyone, no matter what level you're at. It's excellent. I love the CDs and listen to them repeatedly, especially the one on slumps. That one I think everyone needs again and again. I get a lot out of one-on-one coaching, but the Coaching Hour enhances that coaching since you get to hear what others are doing and you get constant input to help you.

--PHIL BARTASH

If you are hungry to get better at your shooting, this is the way to do it. The Coaching Hour gives us a super opportunity to talk with the pros and spark conversation with other shooters. Most of us don't have good shooters to talk to on a local level and this gives us ready access to them on a regular basis. I can count on Gil and Vicki to address the issues we need to know because they are in the arena with the competitors and they see the mistakes that top shooters make. I've enjoyed Gil's personal coaching immensely. Now the Coaching Hour helps me to keeps ideas and emotions to the forefront. Tropics are great. Interaction is great. I enjoy the guests, like the target setters. Every time you get out of the truck, you face those issues. The more insight and ideas you get, the better off you are. I really get a lot out of the tapes because you pick up things you didn't think of before. I keep them in my truck and listen to them several times. To my friends I'd say, "Open your mind. Shut up and send in your check!"
